A diver over coral on the Belize Barrier Reef off Ambergris Caye

Diving

Local two-tank dive

8:15 AM – 11:30 AM / 1:15 PM – 4:30 PMHalf day

The local reef wall runs the length of Ambergris Caye about a mile offshore, and the dive sites along it — Tackle Box, Cypress, Esmeralda, Tuffy — sit between 18 and 30 metres with canyons, swim-throughs and consistently good visibility.

Two tanks fit neatly into a morning or an afternoon. Most operators need a minimum of four divers to run a boat, so the concierge will confirm your day once the boat fills.
